How We Tested Control
- Resets: 10 attempts from baseline — count neutralized (lands in kitchen)
- Dink Placement: 10 dinks — count within 12” of sideline
- Touch: 5 drop shots from transition — count landing in kitchen
- Consistency: Std dev of ball placement (lower = better)
Key insight: Control = foam core + high twist weight + lower swing weight. Honeycomb cannot match foam’s dwell time.

FAQ
Is softer foam always better for control? Yes — up to a point. J2NF’s “NF” foam is softer than J2CR’s standard foam, giving more dwell time. But too soft = no drive power. J2NF hits the sweet spot.
Can I get control from a power paddle? No. High swing weight + stiff face = power. Control requires lower SW, higher TW, softer foam. They’re opposites.
What about 14mm for control? Anna Bright uses 14mm Scorpeus Pro V. But she’s a pro. For recreational: 16mm foam is more forgiving and consistent.
Which codes work?
Honolulu/Vatic use PRH. Ronbus uses RC3Q2082. JOOLA/Franklin/Proton have no active code. Check discount codes.
